NUS bổ nhiệm lãnh đạo cấp cao mới: ông Leo Yip đảm nhiệm vai trò Phó Chủ tịch hội đồng quản trị

The National University of Singapore (NUS) today announced that Mr Leo Yip, currently Head of Civil Service, will join its Board of Trustees as Deputy Chairman on 1 April 2026.

Mr Yip, who headed the civil service since September 2017, is also Permanent Secretary (Prime Minister’s Office) (PMO) and Permanent Secretary (PMO)(Strategy).  He will step down from these roles upon his retirement from the Administrative Service on 1 April 2026. Over the course of his career, Mr Yip held several leadership positions within the civil service, including the founding Chief Executive of the then Singapore Workforce Development Agency, Chairman of the Economic Development Board, and Permanent Secretary appointments at the Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Home Affairs.

NUS also expressed its appreciation to Mr Goh Choon Phong who had earlier stepped down from the Board on 31 December 2025, after more than 10 years of service. Mr Goh, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Airlines, was first appointed to the Board on 1 April 2015.

Mr Hsieh Fu Hua, Chairman of the NUS Board, said, “We warmly welcome Leo to our Board as Deputy Chairman. His broad experience and outlook will bring valuable perspectives to strengthen the Board’s stewardship of NUS in meeting national priorities and advancing its global initiatives.”
