The development team behind ScholAIstic, a generative AI platform that leverages top-tier large language models (LLMs) to support instructors in designing customised chatbots for simulations and role-playing, has been honoured with the prestigious OpenGov Asia Recognition of Excellence Award 2026.

The team from NUS AI Centre for Educational Technologies (AICET) received the award on 21 May 2026 at the 11th Annual Singapore OpenGov CXO Leadership Forum. This award celebrates institutions that are leading digital transformation and setting new benchmarks in governance, digital maturity and service delivery, through innovative technology.

By introducing interactive, AI-driven experiences, ScholAIstic significantly enhances critical thinking, empathy, and practical skills development among students. It also provides educators with structured tracking and feedback mechanisms, allowing for effective monitoring of student progress and the delivery of outcome-based learning.

Successfully applied across diverse NUS disciplines, from social work to law and healthcare education, ScholAIstic demonstrates NUS’ commitment to fostering innovation and developing future-ready learners through scalable, experiential AI-driven learning.
