Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide. A new invention by researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS) could help improve the treatment of this cancer by enhancing the precision of radiotherapy, which is commonly used in combination with treatment options such as surgery, chemotherapy or immunotherapy.

NUS was recognised with two accolades at the inaugural WorkWell Leaders Awards and Gala Dinner held on 31 March 2023. The University bagged the overall Wellbeing Organisation of the Year Award for its efforts towards prioritising mental well-being in the workplace

A team of researchers from the Mechanobiology Institute at NUS and the Department of Biological Sciences under the NUS Faculty of Science, as well as external collaborators, worked together to gain a deeper appreciation for the cellular activities involved in causing cancer cells to change and move through blood vessels.
